EarlyBird Coffee Rebrand

EarlyBird Coffee
While taking a branding course, I was tasked with choosing a local business and redesigning its brand identity.
After much consideration, I chose a cozy coffee shop in The Bronx, NY called ‘EarlyBird Coffee’, which had a fair customer base but lacked a strong visual identity to compete with other businesses in the area.
For the project, I researched a lot of coffee shop culture and gained inspiration from its ambiance and experience.
I went on to redesign their logo with a modern look, coffee bags, tote bags, and t-shirts ensuring that each element reflected the coffee shop’s unique personality.
I also revamped their menu making it more visually appealing and user-friendly, and created posters for events being held at the coffee shop.
Logo Redesign
The original Earlybird logo featured simple typography and an image of a bird moving in a specific motion.
I started by using a sans-serif font giving the logo a modern look and manipulating the type to create the shape of a coffee cup. The addition of the word coffee serves as a base for the coffee cup and it makes sure customers understand the business specialty.
Later on, the shape of the bird was incorporated to the logo as it was an important part of the original logo.
